My macbo… my macbooo I have never been so attached to a thing as I am to my macbo, I swear that we are in a dysfunctional symbiotic relationship, she (because is a she, has to be, those mood swings can not be other than XX) brakes I cry, she again crashes I cry and I still love her as the first day, even more!!!!.
It is so unfortunate that from all the people I know I am the only one who have ever had problems with an apple, bad luck! Double bad luck! ‘cause I sent her for repair I got it back and still not working.
The thing is the have had two main complaints about macbooks 1) the plastic they are made of gets stained in no time, and people are getting freak out about having their computers dirty, and actually they are really difficult to clean, so Apple has offered to replace all the stained bodies for new clean ones. 2) the Heatsink, the thing that protects the computer from getting overheated = fried, has been found very defective and the machine keeps shutting down without a warning. The second thing is what has been happening to mine.
I sent her and I got it back 10 days later with a killer new and clean body. I am sucha a loser thinking how nice of them to replace the really stained and horrible looking body. Well have you guessed already? They didn’t even look at my case they thought eeewww look at this filthy thing!!! and they just change the stained parts.
I got the machine back and first day, again shuts down!!! I have been in the edge of a nervous breakdown, crying in public, being a REAL Bee.I.T.C.H on the phone, to the point of they have promise me an ipod for all my pain and suffering…
Today I took it to the store…After I begged to the girl to help me, man!!! England has no tradition on Costumer Service, they are the worst in the world, they make things 10 times more difficult.
In order to have your machine taken for repair you have to either call Apple, 40 min on the phone and £10 poorer you might be lucky to get a box sent by delivery…or make an online appointment for the Genius Bar at the store (duuhhhh!!! Genius!!! My machine is dead, how I suppose to make an online appointment?) The other option is to be at the time the store opens and run for your life and get to the service desk as fast as you can to get an appointment.
I was shaking when they told yesterday they couldn’t take my macbo because I didn’t have an appointment which according to the person on the phone I had. I was pale, I was not breathing, I could feel the blood going down to my feet I swear to God!!! That was the moment I begged for help...She don't know how made an appointment for me and called me at 9 PM to tell me the time, wow!!! for people like her this world hasn't exploted yet...Finally they took it…Out of the whole situation I got really held back in my work, I got a killer clean machine, hopefully working and an ipod nano…I am making a poll on which color should I pick?
